Jean-Baptiste Camille Corot, “Quai des Paques, Geneva” (1842)

14 Aug

If you’ve followed (endured?) my blog for any length of time, you know I’m a nut for J.B. Camille Corot.  On a summer evening I just had to post this peaceful, Swiss lake scene painted by Corot in 1842.  I’ll spare you the standard fulmination and simply observe that Corot is one of the most imitated artists in history for good reason!  Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
