Here’s my painting from today.  It depicts a storefront in Cimarron, New Mexico.  It’s daytime but there’s a very bad thunderstorm approaching.  Cimarron is the closest town to Philmont Scout Ranch in northeastern New Mexico.  In the days of the Old West it was a well-known watering hole on the Santa Fe Trail and was frequented by outlaw gunfighter Clay Allison.  It has a very cool ambiance and I had to try my hand at painting it.
